About Us

I grew interested in nutritional support for autism because of my daughter Kim, who was diagnosed with autism at 2.5 years old. My wife Marie, a nurse, attended a medical conference by the Autism Research Institute where she learned of their pioneering research on vitamins and minerals for autism, and shared the information with me. I was initially skeptical that vitamins and minerals could be helpful since scientists had known about their importance for many decades, but as I read research by Dr. Bernard Rimland and others I became convinced that vitamin/mineral supplements could help many children with autism, with minimal risk of adverse effects. I searched for the best possible supplement for my daughter, and in 2000 began the first research study of a complete vitamin/mineral supplement for children with autism. The success of that study led to four additional studies over the next 20 years, ultimately leading to the development of ANRC Essentials Plus.
